On Thursday 28^th April, members of The Carbine Club were invited to attend the Melbourne branch’s inaugural President’s Lunch. Held at Grossi Florentino, this lunch was conceived to get members together over excellent food and wine.

In an unfortunate turn of events President, Andrew Cannon AM was unwell and not able to attend, Adam Sangster picked up the reins to host the day.

30 members filled the glorious Florentino Mural Room to enjoy the camaraderie and conviviality of an intimate member-only lunch.

Leon Wiegard OAM, two time Olympian and sports broadcaster, interviewed select members in an off-the-cuff, table side format.

The gathered crowd were delighted to hear from Campbell and Mal Brown, Gerry Ryan OAM, Geoff Pollard AM, Campbell Rose and club stalwart and senior member, Trevor Craddock.

The Carbine Club is looking forward to our next two events, the AGM and lunch on Friday 27 May and the Annual Dinner to be held in late July. Details of the Annual Dinner will be published in The Carbiner.
